Your first act leaves clues.

Turn everything your first act taught you into an offer the market is ready to buy.

I'm Olufunke Adeyinka. I have spent more than 20 years finding structure inside complicated systems. Now I help experienced women do the same with their own first act: we find the one strength people will genuinely pay for, whether it came from work, business or years at home, and shape it into a clear offer. Then we test it with real buyers and confirm the market wants it, so you finish not with an idea, but with a validated offer that is ready to sell.

Free, about five minutes and no payment required.

When you have done something well for years, it can stop looking valuable to you.

By this stage, you have already lived a full first act: work, family, responsibility and a life you have built with intention. This is often where my work begins. You may describe what you do as simply part of your job, something people always ask you to help with or an idea you keep returning to. I listen for the capability underneath it and help you judge whether it could become something people will pay for.

  • You can think of several things you could do, but you cannot tell which one people would actually pay for.

  • People already come to you for the very thing you brush off as just something you know.

  • A title or a role records what you did. It never captures the judgement, the recovery and the quiet problem-solving it actually took.

  • You want something of your own, without walking away from the career, family and commitments you have already built.

  • You have read, listened and gathered plenty. What is missing is a decision, and a practical way to prove one idea works.

  • Someone has already asked you to help, or to quote, but you still need to shape it into a real offer, with a clear buyer and price.

What Second Act Advisory does

Finding the structure inside your experience

The work is a process of translation.

We examine what you have done, the problems people already trust you to solve and where that experience could matter to a real buyer. Then we choose one opportunity, give it a structure, shape the first offer and take it into real conversations.

We build enough to discover whether the market agrees with us before deciding what deserves further investment.

  1. 1

Examine the experience, skills, relationships and assets you already hold.

  2. 2

Identify the most credible commercial opportunities within them.

  3. 3

Choose one specific buyer and a problem that matters enough to solve.

  4. 4

Define the offer, outcome, scope and starting price.

  5. 5

Create only the essential assets needed to present it professionally.

  6. 6

Take the offer to real buyers, partners and introducers.

  7. 7

Read what the market actually does, then refine, expand or let it go.

One opportunity. One income-producing mission. Properly tested.

SEE → SHAPE → BUILD → MOVE → GROW

How I bring structure to the work

I use the same disciplined approach I have used throughout my work in technology and transformation: understand what already exists, identify the right problem, build what is needed and learn from the evidence.

  1. 1
    SEE

Recognise the capabilities, credibility, relationships and assets already present. Identify the strongest opportunity and the priority buyer.

  2. 2
    SHAPE

Turn the chosen opportunity into a clear offer with a defined problem, outcome, scope and starting price.

  3. 3
    BUILD

Create the minimum professional assets needed to explain, present and deliver the offer.

  4. 4
    MOVE

Take the offer to real buyers and confirm the market wants it, through relevant conversations, outreach, referrals and early paid work.

  5. 5
    GROW

Review the evidence, refine what is not working and expand only what the market supports.

The engagement

The Second Act Advisory Experience

Six weeks to identify, shape and test one credible income opportunity.

£1,500By invitation following a fit conversation

During the six weeks, we concentrate on one opportunity. We decide what it is, who it is for, what belongs in the first offer and what can wait. Then we create the essential assets needed to put it in front of real people and learn from their response.

The engagement may include

  • A full adviser-led Income Audit
  • Capability and opportunity mapping
  • Buyer and problem selection
  • Offer, scope and starting-price decisions
  • Essential positioning and sales assets
  • A practical market-activation plan
  • Review of early buyer response
  • A 90-day plan to take it to market
  • Access to Second Act Systems during the engagement

The scope of the work

  • We focus on one primary opportunity, chosen together and tested properly.
  • The goal is real market evidence, not a promise of guaranteed income.
  • This is a focused advisory engagement, not an unlimited done-for-you build.
  • Work outside the agreed scope is discussed and priced separately.
  • Second Act Systems is included as the client workspace, with no separate membership fee.

Every engagement begins with a fit conversation, and a private invitation to join where it is the right next step.

The commercial journey

How the journey works

I do not ask someone to commit to a £1,500 engagement on the strength of a webpage alone.

The free Income Audit gives us a starting point. I review the responses and, where there appears to be a genuine fit, we have a separate conversation. Where we both believe the work is the right next step, I send a private invitation explaining the scope, payment and what happens next.

Completing the Income Audit does not automatically lead to an invitation.

  1. 1

    Take the free Income Audit

Explore the experience, strengths and possible routes already available to you.

  2. 2

    Your responses are reviewed

The automated result is a starting point. It is not a final commercial recommendation.

  3. 3

    Have a fit conversation

Where appropriate, we discuss your goal, urgency, readiness and whether the advisory is the right next step.

  4. 4

    Receive a private invitation

Where we both believe the work is a good fit, I send a private invitation explaining the engagement and payment process.

  5. 5

    Begin inside Second Act Systems

After payment, the full diagnostic and advisory process begins.

About

I'm Olufunke Adeyinka, founder of Second Act Advisory.

20+ years · Finance systems, transformation & delivery · Global programmes

For more than 20 years, my work across finance systems, technology and transformation has required me to make sense of complicated information, identify what matters and turn it into a practical route forward.

Over time, I noticed that I was doing something similar in conversations with women: hearing the value they had stopped noticing and helping them give it structure.

My experience includes business-critical programmes across financial services, insurance, legal services and the public sector, delivered for organisations including CBRE, Dentsu, Domino’s and Simmons & Simmons.

My Vision

I have lived the script of my first act: education, work, responsibility, family, a respectable career and much of what was expected of me.

My vision is to build the next chapter more deliberately and help other experienced women do the same. I want us to look at the lives and careers we have already built and see more than a history of work. I want us to see evidence of judgement, capability and knowledge that can still become meaningful work, greater choice, stronger income and something of our own.

I want the women who come after us to inherit more than our advice. I want them to inherit evidence that another way was possible.

Why I Created Second Act Advisory

I have spent years helping organisations make sense of complicated systems, find the structure inside them and turn that structure into something people can use.

Through Second Act Advisory, I now apply that same thinking to experienced women. I help a woman look properly at what she has spent years learning, especially the abilities that have become so natural to her that she may no longer recognise their value.

Together, we identify one credible opportunity, give it a clear structure, shape it into something people can understand and buy, and take it into the market to gather real evidence.

I am building my own second act while still working in technology. I understand that a woman does not have to discard the life or career she has built to create something new. Her first act can provide the experience, credibility and foundation for what comes next.

Research

The Second Act Opportunity Study

I am speaking to 100 experienced women about work, money, reinvention and what comes next.

Alongside the study, I am recording 25 public Second Act Conversations with women who have already made a significant professional or commercial change.

I am particularly interested in the distance between what women imagine a second act will require and what actually helps them move. The findings will inform the 2027 Second Act Opportunity Report, my advisory tools and future work with organisations.

Insights

What I am noticing

I write from three places: my own experience of building a second act while still working in technology, the patterns emerging from conversations with women and the practical work of turning experience into something commercially useful.

On Substack, I explore reinvention, business, work, AI, faith and the moments that make us reconsider what comes next.
